CarPark® Automated Parking Systems
Westfalia turns parking into a convenient, safe experience

CarPark keeps cars safe and secure as they move within the parking system.

Here’s how automated parking works:

1. All sequences of the automated system are activated by the payment check-in or electronic parking card.
2. Car drives into invitingly bright and clean “entry cabin”, patron turns off the engine, and puts on the parking brake or shifts to “Park”. A dialog system is there to communicate with the driver at all times.
3. The driver exits. After leaving the car,
   the rest of the parking process is
   performed automatically.
   
4. A brief safety check follows. The car remains on the pallet (for pallet systems) for the duration of its stay. (Inquire about Westfalia’s palletless design also!)
5. Next, various electromechanical components transport the car to a vacant parking space. Based on the
   size of the parking system, cars are transported either along horizontal platforms or vertical lifts to and from their spaces (see photo to left).
6. When picking up the car, the car retrieval process can be initiated on the spot, or as an option, by phone, internet or SMS request.
7. Upon return the driver will get into his car, and only pull forward, due to turntables installed at the entry and exit of the garage, which orient the car correctly (no reversing).
